3C-Racing Team

For three years, the 3C-Racing Team has been the only team to represent the Ducati brand in the Superbike class of the international SUPERBIKE*IDM. In so doing, the team from Landsberg am Lech, which was formed in 2013, relies on the current Ducati 1199 Panigale R. The team gained first experience and race track kilometres with the new Superbike during two tests on the Eurospeedway Lausitz and the Sachsenring in August 2013. This first race participation followed at the IDM race at Sachsenring (07/08 September 2013). Starting virtually from scratch, the team attained a superb double triumph in its two premiere races at the Sachsenring.

Originally, the project was intended to be associated with the comeback of the Berlin-based Dario Giuseppetti, however his severe injuries, incurred during test in spring time, didn’t allow a return to active racing. So as not having to stop the team again, which had in the meantime gained momentum, the three-time IDM Superbike champion from Austria, Martin Bauer, was committed for the race on the Sachsenring.

In 2014, the triumphal procession of the 3C-Racing Team proceeded to run its course. The committed regular drivers, Xavi Forés and Max Neukirchner, raised the SUPERBIKE*IDM to a higher stage with the Ducati 1199 Panigale and dominated the entire season. Forés won the championship with an overwhelming lead of 318 points. The Spaniard won in six races and in all other races attained podium places in Germany’s highest class of road racing. Max Neukirchner was ranked second in the overall standing.

In 2015, the 3C-Racing Team will be starting with the defending champion, Xavi Forés, and the exceptional Italian driver, Lorenzo Lanzi. The 33-year-old already completed his first races for the team in the second half of the 2014 season.
